Summer Solstice

A special drawing to celebrate the new year, inspired by a beautiful moment on the summer solstice (Southern Hemisphere).

As always, thank you for taking an interest in what I do, for following along on my creative/life/being journey, and for encouraging me to see all the magic in the world, to record it, and share it with you.

WILD & WESTERN GRAPHICS

Finally!

So, I’ve been thinking about this for a long time: hoping to whittle out the time and space to put some illustration suites together, wondering what would make a good subject, feeling like none of what I put together is good enough, but at the same time not wanting to part with any of it… etc, etc.

But the short story is I’ve finally released my first suite of open-license graphics (meaning: they are much more affordable than my custom work or exclusive-use licenses, but they are available to anyone who pays the fee to use).

It’s a collection of all my favourite things to draw — I can’t wait to see what you guys make with them. They’re available here.

MY FIRST TYPEFACE!

After thinking about it for what feels like forever, I finally dove in and created my first typeface, Vaquero.

I was attempting to pull together my two favourite influences: western and psychedelic, to end up with a typeface that kinda matches a lot of the subjects I’ve been playing around with lately.

Another thing I’m trying to work on this year is producing some useful, affordable/accessible digital assets to share with the world. Vaquero is the first.

You can purchase it for personal and commercial use on my site here, or via Creative Market here.

LOVE & KINDNESS & GRATITUDE & PEACE

Kinda in keeping in the theme of releasing artworks that are single-word or short mantras for what I’d hope to call in this year, I’ve finally let this artwork out into the world.

It’s available here as a digital download, that you can print at home or your local print place (for my Aus friends, I recommend Image Science or Hound & Bone in Melbourne if you’re going the fine art direction, or — if you’re after a cheaper print method —Officeworks poster printing on their 160gsm bond, which is a bit lighter paper but seems to have a really nice finish… of course, that’s just my taste, you might be a fan of high-gloss finish).

As always, thank you so much for every purchase, like, look, kind word… it’s all so greatly appreciated and keeps me showing up here, making new magic for the dusty world.
