NEW YOUTUBE VIDEO!

After a bit of a forever, I’ve put together a new video and shared it on my Youtube here.

I found lots of cute and wonderful bugs on our farm, so I recorded them in my sketchbook. I love sharing some of the special magic of where I live through these videos — it’s something that brings me so much joy every day.

I share a lot of other videos, sketchbook photos, project BTS and digital downloads over on my Patreon here.

COWPRINT MUSINGS

Ever wonder what it would be like if everything had purple cowprint on it?

… No, me neither.

But here’s your answer.

ABUNDANCE: PRINTABLE ARTWORK

Despite the fact that 2022 is already looking a bit rickety on the rails — well, here in Australia, at least — there’s a real luscious, overgrown, humid abundance resonance around our place right now.

We’re having another true subtropical summer; storms and rains are rolling through every other day, the rivers have been flushed and swollen for weeks, brilliant flowers of roadside weeds tumble over the fences and take over trees, and the grass fairly springs up behind you as you mow. Giant bugs are appearing on the deck in the evening like we’re in some kind of Amazonian camping adventure. Delicate parasol mushrooms bloom and die every morning, born in the damp and then burned by the heat — but they’re back again the next day despite it. Even the old red gladioli bulbs that live on the fence lines along the drive home are back to blooming — and I thought they’d quit for good after all those years of desperate drought and fire.

So, I guess that’s what this is all about. I’ve drawn a lot of grateful and adoring odes to our subtropical summers over the past two years, maybe because they do feel so profound and full of magic, after seeing those dusty, heartbreaking hard years.

The ‘Abundance’ artwork is available as a printable download, here.

ORIGNALS & ONE-OFFS

I’ve just listed a bunch of artworks from my ‘Altars + Amulets’ art show held in December. These are all one-of-a-kind original artworks, ranging from big canvases (shipping to Australia only, I’m afraid!) to small studies (which probably ended up being my favourite pieces!).

The works from Altar + Amulets were an exploration of the objects and beings into which we can pour a little magic — the naturally occurring altars and amulets.

I’ve listed them at a discount price, hopefully you find something you love amongst them.

You can shop them here.

NEW: PRINTABLE ARTWORKS

I’ve made a couple of new artworks available for purchase and download — including one that has never been offered as a print before!

It’s all a bit of a new thing for me, so let me know if there’s any artworks you’d like to see made available!

You can shop them here…

SHOP RE-OPENED

My online shop is re-opened!!
A few select sizes and types of prints, and all the western stickers are back.

Thank you so much for your support, and taking an interest in what I do and the things I make — it means the world to me!

Printable artworks

This is something I haven’t really (or very rarely) offered before — printable artworks, or downloadable digital files, for you to purchase, download and print (at home or via your local print shop).

With the postal service struggling so badly here, and the insane costs of posting from Australia to the States, this makes it all a little bit more accessible/easier/faster.

For now, I’ve released a little mini-collection featuring the above digital downloads, which you can shop here.

But I hope to add some more designs to the printable artwork collection soon. Let me know if there’s anything specific (themes, past artworks, etc…) that you’d like to see in the shop!

Cowboy comics

Here’s a little sneaky peek of some unpublished work that has appeared on my Patreon…

You can check out all the posts here. (And, of course, there is no obligation to remain subscribed for any certain amount of time — you’re always welcome to stop by and check in once, or every six months, or whatever suits you!).

Altars + Amulets exhibition

All the updates from my Altars + Amulets art exhibition, hosted by Archive Mid North Coast, are up on my Patreon here.

I’ve posted some behind-the-scenes snaps, scans of the artworks so you can see all the details, and documented some of the process as it came to life. There’s also a process video on the way too!

SHOP CLOSING • LAST CHANCE FOR AUSTRALIAN ORDERS

I’m about to wrap up trading in my online store for the year (orders outside of Australia have already closed), so if there’s something you have your eye on, jump on over there before November 25.

Thank you so much for all the love and support and encouragement this year — it’s seriously kept me going!

FOLLOW THE MOON 2022

I’m no longer shipping printed versions of the ‘Follow the Moon 2022’ lunar calendar, but there is still a way to get your hands on one!

They are available as digital file downloads in my online shop, and you can send them to a local printer of your choice (in Australia I recommend Imagescience and Hound & Bone for fine art printing, and Officeworks for a more economical option).

If you are sad about missing out and still want to grab one, they’re available here.

ALTARS + AMULETS

I’m working on a bunch of new drawings and ideas and scribblings for my upcoming art exhibition ‘Altars + Amulets’ at Archive creative space here on the Coffs Coast.

If you’d like to join us on opening evening, December 5, book here.

If you’d like to see more behind-the-scenes happenings and what I’m working on, visit my Patreon here.

THE REST OF THE YEAR...

Now that my last shop update for the year is DONE… here’s a little update on what will be happening around here for the rest of 2021:

  • The shop is still open for Australian orders, until November 25. There’s even some ‘seconds sale’ fine art prints, which I rarely, rarely ever have. Check it out here…

  • After the shop closes, I won’t be shipping out anything for the rest of the year… BUT… I will be trying to upload some new designs to my Print-on-Demand supplier (which means new tees and other cool stuff!), and I’m hoping to explore some digital download offerings too.

  • I am now booking projects for early 2022, so if there’s something you want to work on, let me know! I’m usually booking out about two months ahead, so I need a bit of warning for projects.

  • I’m HOPING that December will give me a little time to make some new videos and add to my Youtube, so feel free to jump over there and follow along too.

ROSE OF THE WEST

Last couple of days to grab something out of my online store… After November 8, it will be closed to international orders (because the post is crazy!), and to any orders for large/fine art prints.

The shop will then revert to just whatever stock I have on hand, shipping within Australia only… until November 25, when it will be closed for the rest of 2021.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for getting me through this year folks. It’s been one.

Cactus Queens

I carried this idea around in my head forever, and when I finally sat down to draw — it came rolling out easily and full of cheeky, sassy and sweet persuasions.

This one’s neck-and-neck with Curio for favourite drawing of 2021.

Shop the Cactus Queens here. Print pre-order closes on November 8, 2021 (and no guarantees that I will make this print available again in the future, so if you want to grab one… you know what to do!).

NEW STICKERS!

I am super excited about these stickers! For one, ‘Curio’ is probably one of my favourite drawings I’ve created to date — that wild, bad ass, rambunctious, joyous energy is such a delight! — but also, it’s just satisfying to see a complementary set of drawings all sitting together in a suite.

These are limited, some I won’t reprint (Curio), and a whole bunch I need to hoard for myself, friends and family… so if you want ‘em, go grab ‘em… HERE.
